Good to have a sit down.

Do you ever feel that you wake up and as soon as you get out of bed, you step on a treadmill that is going faster than you can manage. But if you try and step off it, you would fall and hurt yourself. So you just try your best to keep upright and stay on it. Until you can take no more and you fall off.

I have just had a whole week like that. It has been productive but exhausting. How I long for the days when I can wake up peacefully and have a lie in before gently getting out of bed, all grounded and calm. That would be wonderful.

You may be thinking. You could do that every morning - just wake up an hour earlier. But I need my sleep. So go to bed an hour earlier. That is not always possible, although I do try.

Our new little rescue dog is so loyal and is my shadow wherever I go and whatever I do. So he rushes around with me while my dad shouts all kinds of requests and orders. Poor dog, can hardly keep up - I am here, there and everywhere. As soon as I do get to have a breather, he plops down next to me and promptly falls asleep. I know exactly how he is feeling!
